Day 1 - Arrive in Jackson's Hole, Wyoming. Accessible transfer to our hotel in the town of Jackson. Get acquainted/ reacquainted dinner. Stay 1 night.
Day 2 - Today we drive through Yellowstone National Park, on our way to Cody, Wyoming. A dramatic drive, with plenty of scenic stops along the way. We'll stop at Lake Hotel on the north shore of Yellowstone Lake, the largest lake in North America at this high an elevation. Stay two nights.
Day 3 - Much of the day at world-renowned Buffalo Bill Center of the West, a complex of five museums/galleries, including original works of Charlie Russell and Frederick Remington in the Whitney Western Art Museum.
Later, you'll have the option to travel a few miles out of town to the Japanese internment camp known as the Heart Mountain Relocation Center, which includes a fine interpretive trail describing this should never-be-forgotten story. You'll also have free time to roam in downtown Cody.
Day 4 - To Yellowstone, today, via the most remote corner of Yellowstone country and through the Lamar Valley, where wolves began their recovery a few years ago and other large animals abound. Stay 1 night at Canyon Lodge
Day 6 - Yellowstone as a whole possesses close to 60% of the world's geysers and the Upper Geyser Basin contains the largest number of geysers in the park. We watch Old Faithful today, then explore the area viewing geysers, hot springs and, usually, buffalo.
Day 7 - Return to Jackson, touring Grand Teton National Park along the Teton Park Road, which skirts the base of the Teton Range. This evening youÕll be on your own for eating, to enjoy the town square, take in a show, or just relax.
Day 8 - Today includes an unforgettable river trip on the Snake River (no white water), under the Teton Mountains. Then, we'll return to Jackson for some free time. Farewell dinner.
